Annual Report.
Our 2009 Annual Report highlights the Council’s year-long efforts generated to provide value to our members and drive success. Consistent with our strategic framework, the Annual Report reflects key elements of productivity - business development, government relations, talent and visibility – offerings that serve as the cornerstone of Council membership.
All in the Numbers
Despite being a transition year for the Council, 2009 was also one which saw tremendous regional success through key initiatives. Some key highlights of 2009 include:
- Through 493 outreaches to member companies, our staff sought to identify
opportunities to provide service. During the fiscal year, our staff helped technology
members facilitate 151 connections with potential customers and investors.
- The Council’s government affairs team fought efforts to tax
computer services, preventing more than $300 million in new
business taxes.
- In 2009: 442 firms utilized the Pittsburgh Career Connector site; average weekly visits – 7,472 per week; more than 9,000 resumes
are on file.
- Provided member companies with 1,960 total visibility opportunities across all media channels.
