Our Commitment to the Region
The Pittsburgh Technology Council is committed to attracting, retaining and developing our region’s workforce. To this end, the PTC offers the following programs to assist employers, employees and students gain a greater appreciation for careers in southwestern Pennsylvania.
CareerCasts
These live, in-your-face audio casts go beyond the job description. In a podcast medium, local employers discuss their work environments, positions that are available and what they are looking for in potential candidates. These talk shows also allow for questions to be asked by career seekers nationwide.

Adventures in Technology
Adventures in Technology is an industry-focused business, education and community partnership that engages high school students in an eight-week, hands-on project. Students design and build a product, or re-engineer an existing product, process or system for a local company.

Our internship services program provides support for member companies offering internships to undergraduates and graduate students in southwestern Pennsylvania. From posting open positions to screening resumes, targeted recruiting, mentoring and outcome evaluation, our services guarantee that companies will be matched with the perfect candidates for their available internships.

Advocacy Initiatives
Through our advocacy efforts we identify and represent employers' specific workforce education issues in the manufacturing and technology clusters at the local, regional, state and federal level. By assisting in the articulation of workforce issues, business leaders can ensure that the next generation of workers in the region will have the skills necessary not only to succeed, but to propel local industries forward.
