Engage Your Elected Officials.

The PTC produces a series of events to help educate our member companies about federal and state procurement and grant opportunities and introduce members to the government officials who represent them. To this end, the B2G program also seeks to create valuable relationships between key officials in government agencies and prime government contractors.

On April 22, 2010, the Pittsburgh Technology Council hosted an event sponsored by Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney with Dr. Thomas Cellucci, Chief Commercialization Officer at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  Dr. Cellucci outlined the unique process that DHS employs to “commercialize” technologies that are needed by the various departments at DHS, but also by our nation’s operators of critical infrastructure and the first responder community.  If you missed Dr. Cellucci’s presentation, you can find a copy of his powerpoint presentation here.
