Overview

Our region is a center of excellence for technology. The Council gives ongoing leadership to our continuing technology revolution by helping to address workforce development issues and attract top talent.

Southwestern Pennsylvania has transformed itself from an economy based on large, heavy-industry oriented employers, to one based on a diversified mix of technology, services and advanced manufacturing business. The Council’s IT network provides the support to continue to grow these businesses and strengthen the economy.

The IT Network’s purpose is to:

  • Provide knowledge of cost- and time-saving services for professionals in the IT industry.
  • Develop a community through one-on-one introductions, partner contacts and business development initiatives.
  • Provide resources, such as best-practice data and alternative solutions, relevant to IT companies.
  • Advocate in the spirit of regional technology, and promote a tech-rich legislative agenda that draws attention to southwestern Pennsylvania companies.
