Open Innovation Summit
Monday, May 21, 2012
8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Pittsburgh Technology Council, 2000 Technology Drive, Suite 100 (First Floor) Pittsburgh 15219
Innovation is happening faster than ever! Without the ability to innovate quickly and often your company will be left behind. That is why the Pittsburgh Technology Council, Carnegie Mellon University and 113 Industries are partnering together to offer a one day training event, The Open Innovation Summit.
No company can afford to rely internally for ideas and breakthroughs. The new environment of R&D replaces the logic of an earlier era, where innovation was closed off from outside ideas and technologies. The goal of the session is to identify the sources of innovative success and failure inside corporations, and how companies can develop and sustain a capability to innovate.
Who Should Attend: Research and Development members of Industrial Manufacturing, Biotech, Advanced Materials, Food Processing and Chemical companies.
Participants will be introduced to the practical application of Open Innovation, how to introduce it in their organizations, how to measure success, and how to avoid pitfalls and mistakes that other organizations have suffered from in the past.
• Featured speakers from : General Dynamics, Heinz, Alcoa, DelMonte, Eaton
• Lead trainer: Razi Imam – Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business and Founder / CEO of 113 Industries
