Pittsburgh-based AIReS (American International Relocation Solutions, LLC) is taking big steps in its environmental protection and going green efforts with the use of Document Manager (DocMan), a file sharing tool available through AIReS’ Integrated Relocation Information System (IRIS). The results of this program have not only helped AIReS increase its client service efficiency, but also assisted in demonstrating AIReS’ dedication to preserving the environment, which has netted bottom line savings for the company.
IRIS’ Document Manager feature allows AIReS employees to simply and efficiently access, save, store and share numerous informational documents. This has allowed easy access and forwarding of paperwork vital to the communication between AIReS’ employees and their clients utilizing AIReS’ relocation services. “AIReS’ employees have really embraced the use of Document Manager and we, as a corporation, have better developed our client coverage and client service efforts,” stated Laura May Carmack, AIReS Quality Manager.
The program has helped cut costs of office supplies and materials that may have proven wasteful in previous day-to-day client interaction, such as copy paper, printer toner and staples; ultimately resulting in big dollar savings for the company. In 2008 alone, AIReS has saved approximately 390,000 sheets of paper which has contributed to $8,145 in total savings for the year. AIReS has also reduced its Carbon Footprint from size 10 to size 5 since using the program.
The utilization of Document Manager is one of many continuous efforts by AIReS to continue its influence on the protection of the environment for future generations. “AIReS does everything possible to promote and maintain a clean environment,” stated Carmack. “We are excited to continue our use of Document Manager and look to show bigger savings and reduction in our environmental impact in 2009.”
