EN 15085 Certification for Welding of Railway Vehicles and Components (CWRVC) is being increasingly specified by customers of components, sub-assemblies and vehicles.
"Certification is rapidly becoming a pre-requisite for contract award or acceptance as an approved supplier, and the CWRVC scheme provides us with effective assessment, certification and surveillance to provide customer confidence in our welding quality management. This certification puts us in a class of only 16 domestic transportation suppliers who hold this certification" stated Jodi Ricketts, Vice President of Sales & Marketing
CMC is an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485 registered contract manufacturer who provides precision machined components, fabrications and assembly services for customers in the transportation, medical device, energy, scientific instrumentation and aerospace/defense industries.
ViaWest, a leading Hybrid IT solutions provider in North America, announced the launch of Cloud Recovery – DRaaS, a Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solution that helps protect businesses against devastating data losses by significantly simplifying how they replicate and then recover critical data.
Extended downtime and the loss of significant data often spells catastrophe for a company. According to a recent Gartner report, only 6 percent of companies survive longer than two years after a major data loss; 43 percent were immediately put out of business, and an additional 51 percent of companies closed their doors within two years of a major data loss. Gartner calculates that it costs an average company $5,600 per minute in lost revenue, contract penalties, supply-chain ripple effects, lost productivity and other costs when its network is down, which translates to more than $330,000 per hour.
ViaWest’s Cloud Recovery – DRaaS helps protect companies from incurring these costs by increasing the speed at which they can recover from an outage. The solution allows companies to quickly and easily replicate their business-critical data at a highly secure ViaWest facility – regardless of whether their production site is located on premises, at a ViaWest data center or at another provider’s data center.
