cellhelmet Breaks New Ground

Since airing on ABC’s “Shark Tank” last spring, cellhelmet —a manufacturer of cellphone covers with accidental damage coverage —has experienced rapid growth.

Cellhelmet DudeThe company has opened up a cell phone and tablet repair facility in Wexford and just opened its second location on Forbes Avenue in Oakland. cellhelmet is offering the only repairs in Pittsburgh with a lifetime repair guarantee—all done while you wait.

According to cellhelmet’s Michael Kane, the demand for repairs is surging. To control the quality of its cellhelmet case repairs
(each cellhelmet case comes with one year of accidental damage coverage), cellhelmet put a heavy focus on bringing them all
in-house in late 2013.

“We’ve found that our high level of repair quality speaks volumes and it’s bringing in customers on its own,” said Kane.  “Since the beginning, it’s been extremely important to us that every customer walks away from cellhelmet with peace of mind.  Now, you can get a cell phone or tablet repair done by cellhelmet and walk away knowing that it’s guaranteed for the life of the device.”

cellhelmet currently has a team of seven in Wexford and is placing employees at its new Oakland location. Keep an eye out in 2014—cellhelmet plans to open a few more locations in the greater Pittsburgh area.

cellhelmet manufactures all of its iPhone cases in Latrobe—available in most Verizon Wireless locations in the Pittsburgh area along with many others across the country.

Consumers can expect to see the cellhelmet pig head popping up all around town, as it opens multiple new cell phone/tablet repair facilities in the greater Pittsburgh area.

“cellhelmet is a Pittsburgh-born-and-bred brand, and we’ll be making that very clear this year!” said Kane.
