No Tech Tax in PA

Last month, Governor Tom Wolf has proposed a massive Tech Tax as his primary vehicle to balance the state’s 2017-18 budget.

If adopted, this tax will impact nearly every business in the Commonwealth. Many business leaders will remember the last incarnation of the Tech Tax in Pennsylvania (the Computer Services Tax), which was adopted in 1991 and repealed six years later after intensive lobbying from our state's technology sector.

We need your help to keep this tax in the past. You can use this tool to reach out today. 

Representing a $330 million tax increase on Pennsylvania’s technology sector, this is highest business tax proposed this year by Governor Wolf, exceeding even his proposed new tax on the Marcellus shale industry.

Breaking News:  Speaker Turzai just issued a statement that he is opposed to the tech tax.

Who Should Be Concerned?

Consumers of technology services (listed below) will face a new sales tax of up to seven percent in Allegheny County.

HILL DAYS:  We will be traveling to Harrisburg on April 17th and 18th for our first set of meeting with state legislators and also on May 9th and 10th. We are looking for CEOs and CFOs to join us on those hill days to directly communicate our position to Pennsylvania Senators and Representatives.
