About Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh

Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh operates two full service domestic animal shelters….one on the North Side and one in the East End of Pittsburgh - as well as a Wildlife center in Verona.  As a leading 501-c-3, they have full veterinary medical centers which offer medical care for pet owners from every community.  They have several community programs to help remove barriers for pet ownership, like Ellie’s Pet Pantry where pet owners can register to receive free cat & dog food to help feed their pets if they aren’t able.  Plus, HARP offers summer camps and other educational programs for children!  Between their three locations, Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh cares for over 26,000 animals annually.   Through their community outreach, their dedicated volunteer and donors, HARP is able to continuously expand their impact throughout Western Pennsylvania.
