Warm up with a fireside chat between Michael Annichine, CEO, Magee-Women’s Research Institute and Foundation and Audrey Russo, CEO and President of the Pittsburgh Technology Council. Together, they will discuss the importance and impact of successful corporate partnerships.

This discussion will dive into the essence of a successful partnership between a company and a non-profit organization.  Audrey and Mike will identify ways that both entities establish a partnership that brings mutual benefits to one another.
Traditionally, this type of partnership has been the company being a source of funding, facilitating its activities and projects and, in exchange, the company gains visibility.

Audrey and Mike will highlight how corporate partnerships are much more than sponsorship.

Corporate Partnerships can:
-Leverage cause marketing
-Boost a company’s performance
-Fortify a market through investment and education
-Cultivate a culture around community and inclusivity
-Create brand awareness
-Associate the name of the company to a noble cause
-Attract potential new investors

About Michael Annichine and Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation:

Women’s health has historically been understudied, underdiagnosed, and underrepresented. Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation is a local organization and our national leader working to bring this to an end. Across the globe, Magee fights for more women in clinical trials and more research dedicated to women’s health and reproductive biology. The research at Magee spans the lifetime of a woman, covering reproductive development, pregnancy and newborn medicine, infectious disease, gynecology, infertility, women’s cancers, and overall women’s wellness.

As the CEO of Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation, the largest research institute in the U.S. focused on women’s health and reproductive biology, Michael Annichine helped create innovative research and programs within UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital and Research Institute. Under his leadership, Magee has expanded its partnerships with industry, academia, and national and local foundations. Magee has grown exponentially in the last 5 years, more than doubling the size of its endowment and completing a $100 million development campaign for the Pittsburgh region.
