GrapeCity Documents v4.1 Released by GrapeCity Developer Solutions

GrapeCity, a global provider of award-winning enterprise software development tools, is pleased to announce the release of v4.1 for the GrapeCity Documents API product line. The latest version includes enhancements for GrapeCity Documents for PDF (GcPdf) and PDF Viewer (GcPdfViewer), GrapeCity Documents for Word (GcWord), GrapeCity Documents for Imaging (GcImaging), and GrapeCity Documents for Excel (GcExcel). This release focused on strengthening the existing feature set and providing full support for the most requested features.

Due to a high volume of customer requests, GrapeCity Documents is pleased to release the new Signature tool. This tool helps end-users add graphical signatures to PDF documents in the online PDF Viewer on the go. The Signature tool can sign various documents in business applications, such as legal contracts, budget approvals, purchase orders, and many others. By selecting the tool from the Annotation Editor’s default toolbar, users will be able to draw, type, or add image signatures to PDF documents on the web, set signature properties, and much more. GrapeCity Documents for Excel v4.1 includes several highlights, such as updates to the existing .NET Excel Library and API toolkit and performance improvements in Excel template processing. With the ProcessTemplate() method, generating Excel documents from templates is now faster than ever before. After testing up to 100,000 records, users can take advantage of a more efficient way to process several records from a datasource. GcExcel also offers more features for SpreadJS integration, like support for RangeTemplate cell types. This new class allows users to define a template of cell ranges as a single cell type and apply that template to a cell. With innovative updates to GrapeCity Documents for Word, the team has improved several scenarios when applying copy and move range operations in Word documents. The enhanced procedures include moving and copying filling images and line images for shapes, group shapes, ink shapes, canvases, and pictures. Another scenario is copying and moving styles without creating additional styles. Users will also discover support for opening and saving Word documents with malformed URLs in hyperlinks. What's New in ActiveReportsJS v2.1

GrapeCity, a global provider of award-winning enterprise software development tools, is pleased to announce ActiveReportsJS v2.1. The first release of 2021 delivers several enhancements that improve the product experience for developers, report authors, and end-users. ActiveReportsJS v2.1 upgrades JavaScript developers' design toolkit for intuitive and dynamic reports.

The newly introduced Rich Text Report Item allows developers to display static or dynamic mixed-format text in reports. Currently, the only supported language that can be used for content is HTML. This new item can create mail-merge reports, labels or display pre-formatted content from a data source. JavaScript report authors can use the most common tags and styles that are bound to the report data. To learn more about the Rich Text Report Item, visit the release blog.

ActiveReportsJS v2.1 delivers several significant enhancements to the standalone report designers and the end-user designer components. The end-user designer component no longer depends on bootstrap styles and will not cause conflict with an application's CSS. The brand-new Expression Syntax makes it easy to read and write dynamic report content. With the updated Tablix Wizard, JavaScript developers can instantly create advanced pivot table reports. The improved Filter Editor helps easily configure dynamic data filters. To learn more about the specifics of these enhancements, read the release blog.

With the revised Report Author Guide, report designers can quickly learn fundamental product concepts using the tutorials. The ActiveReportsJS team has also improved the report item and property descriptions with more detail than previous versions. By starting with the Standalone Report Designer tutorial, developers can better understand the report author's primary tool. Then, they can choose from various topics to advance their knowledge of creating standard report templates. To learn more about the new Report Author Guide, visit the website.

“ActiveReportsJS v2.1 provides several enhancements that improve the product experience for developers, report authors, and end-users, “ said Product Manager Sergey Abakumov.
