Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Hosts Pet Supply Distribution

Submitted by HARP

PITTSBURGH, PA NOVEMBER 3, 2023 – With Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, Humane Animal Rescue (HARP) is giving back to the community with its monthly Ellie’s Attic pet supply distribution event. On Wednesday, November 8, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, HARP will be offering new or gently used pet supplies such as collars, leashes, crates, beds, as well as pet toys, clothes and other items at no cost to our neighbors in need. The event will be held at HARP’s East Side Campus (6926 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15208).

Many pet owners are facing challenges and financial insecurity. To help keep pets in loving homes, HARP offers several programs to support pet owners. Ellie’s Attic is an offshoot of HARP’s Ellie’s Pet Food Pantry, which through its monthly distributions, provides food to pets in need. Pet owners can get assistance managing a pet’s behavioral needs, information on low cost veterinary care, spay/neuter services, pet friendly housing, or other pet services through HARP’s Pet Helpline, at 412-345-0348 or pethelpline@HumaneAnimalRescue.org

Donations of new or gently used items or unopened bags or cans of pet food, is also a great way to support HARP and spread that spirit of Thanksgiving. Items can be brought to HARP’s East Side or North Side facilities or donors may select items from the wish list for delivery directly to HARP.
