Optimus Technologies is excited to announce the addition of George Dunn to our senior management team in the newly created role of Director of Commercial Operations. Dunn’s responsibilities at the company will include developing strategies for sales growth, expanding both business and professional relationships throughout the industry, and growing Optimus’ sales and business development team.
Dunn brings extensive experience from the transportation technology industry with over 30+ years in investment consulting, senior management, sales, and marketing. Previously, Dunn held roles in telematics and fleet management systems with Eroad and CarrierWeb, and Transportation Video Based Safety Systems integrating AI for safer roads and drivers with SmartDrive and Netradyne. Prior to Optimus, Dunn held a position at Qualcomm OmniTRACS for 14 years and was instrumental in its early growth and leadership in mobile communication and data integration solutions.
“We are really excited to have George join the Optimus team. His background in transportation, especially working to scale innovative transportation technologies, is an extremely valuable asset,” said Colin Huwyler, CEO of Optimus Technologies. “During a time of rapid growth we’re thrilled to have George coming on board to provide leadership on our sales and business development efforts, as we continue to grow in the transportation sector, and expand into new markets.”
“It's clear the Optimus team is loaded with passionate and extremely smart people. EV's in the medium and heavy duty markets are enjoying a lot of hype today but the pathway to practical deployment is long, expensive and filled with questions yet to be answered. The Vector System is a solution that is available right now and can deliver near-zero carbon emissions. I am excited to join the team and bring my expertise to the company,” said Dunn.
Dunn is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in Logistics and Transportation.

The Vector System integrates into existing operations to facilitate a seamless transition to low-carbon fuels.
