Submitted by Catalyst Connection

Pittsburgh (Hazelwood), January 3, 2024 — Catalyst Connection, a not-for-profit organization that provides consulting and training services that help small manufacturers in the 12-county southwestern Pennsylvania region accelerate revenue growth and improve productivity, has created Forging Your Future. This individualized online training session introduces the world of manufacturing to adults looking to change careers or enter the workforce. Topics covered include the evolution of manufacturing and how it shapes today’s world, the impact of manufacturing in southwestern Pennsylvania, skills and training required to pursue careers in manufacturing, available resources, and arranging in-person visits to
area manufacturers.

“Forging Your Future is a win-win proposition,” says Petra Mitchell, Catalyst Connection’s President and CEO. “It helps people who are looking for new opportunities gain the knowledge they need to pursue new career paths and it gives manufacturers in our region a resource for working with potential team members. Additionally, Forging Your Future can be extremely valuable to students in workforce development programs at community colleges and technical schools, and to high school students who are looking to enter the workforce immediately after they graduate.”
