Xfinity and Comcast Business Internet Now Available to More Western Pennsylvanians

Comcast expands into Pittsburgh suburbs this fall.Comcast continues to expand its network across Western Pennsylvania, connecting hundreds of previously unserved locations in Washington County and more than 13,600 homes and businesses in Cranberry, Marshall, and Pine Townships. These projects bring reliable, high-speed Internet from Xfinity and Comcast Business to communities for the first time, supporting growth, connectivity, and access to essential services. 

Washington County: Rural Broadband Expansion 

Through a partnership with Washington County, Comcast has connected hundreds of previously unserved homes and businesses across rural Washington County. These are the first of more than 2,000 locations that will be connected to services from Xfinity and Comcast Business. 

“We’re thrilled to see more residents and businesses in Washington County gain access to high-speed Internet through our partnership with Comcast,” said Nick Sherman, Chair, Washington County Board of Commissioners. 

"For the first time ever, I have reliable, high-speed Internet at home – thanks to Comcast and Washington County," said Sarah Posti, a Burgettstown resident and new Xfinity Internet customer. "Living in a rural area, I never thought this would be possible. Now, with Xfinity Internet, I can stay connected, access essential services, and enjoy opportunities that were once out of reach. It’s truly life-changing for my family and my community." 

These expansion projects, funded in part by American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds to expand access to high-speed Internet, are underway in the northwest and southeast portions of Washington County. Residents can visit Xfinity.com/mytown to enter their address for additional details on construction timing and service availability. 

  • Northwest Washington County: Services are available in Hanover Twp and Burgettstown Borough. 

  • Southeast Washington County: This fall, unserved homes and businesses in Bentworth, North and West Bethlehem Townships, West Pike Run, Beallsville, and Deemston Borough will begin receiving service. 

Pittsburgh’s Northern Suburbs: Cranberry, Marshall, and Pine Townships 

Additionally, Comcast has connected more than 13,600 new homes and businesses in Cranberry, Marshall, and Pine Townships to reliable, high-speed, symmetrical Internet from America’s largest and fastest converged network.
