Creatotech’s CEO, Andrew Weckman, knows that every business—no matter the industry—needs an online presence, and his company’s portfolio is perfect proof.
Among their 1,000+ projects, Creatotech has designed and written code to develop the websites for a bridal boutique, a law firm, and a pediatric office. His team is also behind the websites of many recognizable Pittsburgh institutions including the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, the August Wilson African American Cultural Center, NexTier Bank, and more.
Weckman has been making waves in the digital world with his recent acquisition of Ezra Digital, a full-service web consultancy. When Weckman learned that Ezra Digital was on the market to be sold, he took advantage of an opportunity to take the company to the next level (or two). Under Weckman’s leadership, the company evolved and is thriving while continuing to provide world-class services to businesses across the country.
Weckman rebranded Ezra Digital as Creatotech and has big plans for the future of the company. The name Creatotech is born from the intersection of creativity and technology, an intersection where good web design and development often stands.
Good design is of great importance to Weckman, who finds that solid communication with his clients is key to making a website that is functionally effective and aesthetically attractive.
“You have to really engage with the client,” Weckman said. “If you don’t have a good understanding of what they want, it’s pointless. You don’t want to feed them something that they don’t want to eat.”
When Creatotech works with a new client, they assess what the client envisions and what they need, which can be a challenge to match. “It’s a good marriage that you need to have—a strong understanding of what they’re looking to do,” Weckman explained. “Once you get that, then you also need to focus on the whole user interface, interaction, and experience.”
Creatotech is nearing its one-year anniversary. Looking to the future, Weckman has big plans for the company. One project in the works is a review aggregator. Inspired by his struggles with consolidating customer reviews, this aggregator will pull and then pool reviews into one, easy-to-access space.
Weckman is also committed to investing in new technologies and securing top talent to ensure that Creatotech continues to provide exceptional service to its clients.
