The Esports Company's Seth Mason fills us in on 3 days of competitive gaming at the Greater Johnstown Community YMCA EsportsTournament, vendors, a concert, and more at TEC CON 2022!
The weekend will begin Friday with a day full of qualifiers for Rocket League (3v3) and Halo Infinite (4v4). While qualifiers are happening, there will be a vendor fair with college, technology, and employment information that will continue throughout the entirety of the weekend. There will also be multiple guest speakers/panels discussing the world of competitive gaming.
Once the qualifiers are wrapped up, everyone can head over to the Mill Rats game for an Esports Night (tickets sold separately at https://shop.millrats.com/champ-cty-kings-vs-mill-rats-5 use code ESPORTS at checkout) or across the river to the PNG Park where The Esports Company is bringing DJ Rammor from Germany to perform (tickets will be available for 18+ soon at www.TECConvention.com - included in VIP Pass).
Saturday will feature the qualifiers for Madden 22 (1v1) and focus on the championships for each of the games at the Esports Tournament as teams compete for $10,000+ in prizes. Sunday will wrap up the tournament with a College Combine, where high school students and early college students will participate in displaying their skills to college recruiters that have esports teams and scholarships available.
